Welcome to the Second March 2004 edition of the GO News
letter.

Tele-seminar is Today
Our next tele-seminar on travel protection is at 1PM EST on
Friday, March 26. We will talk about the right plan to
offer your group members, as well as about how to go about
offering this to protect yourself, as well as your
travelers. As a GO member, the seminar is free. However,
you must go to the GO web site to register, as space is
limited.
I’ve been out traveling this week, researching and meeting
folks for upcoming articles on Indiana and Ohio. Spent the
weekend in Cleveland, visiting the many museums at
University Circle and most of Sunday at the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame. Then Monday through Wednesday was driving
the length of Indiana, visiting the many attractions in
Indianapolis, as well as throughout the southern part of
the state. You’ll read all about what we found in Indiana
in the June issue of Leisure Group Travel and about Ohio in
the August issue. As we want the magazines to be about
you, we’d be interested in hearing from you about your
favorite spots in these states, as well as in New York and
Alabama. Just drop me a note.
Great American Road Show – New Price for GO Members

This group travel event is being held in Pigeon Forge,
Tenn., on Apr. 4th-6th. It includes a marketplace trade
show, hotels and meals, along with visits to Dollywood, the
Black Bear Jamboree and Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. The
price is normally $179 single and $99 double occupancy. A
special offer had been extended to GO members of a flat
$99. We have been working with them and the price has now
been reduced to an unbelievable flat $49. To register, or
for more information, contact them at 888-327-2632 and
mention that you are a GO member interested in the Great
American Road Show.

Lisle Familiarization Trip

Chicago suburb Lisle has scheduled an interesting fam trip
for Apr. 16-18. It includes several sites around Chicago
and the suburbs. The first day visits Cantigny Park and
the Billy Graham Museum, followed by dinner and a mini
trade show. The following day visits Morton Arboretum and
downtown Naperville. Sunday stops in Oak Park for the
Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio and Ernest Hemingway’s
Birthplace. Then to downtown Chicago to visit the Shedd
Aquarium, drive down the Magnificent Mile, visit Navy Pier
and finish with an architectural boat tour, followed by
dinner at famous Gino’s East for Pizza. The cost is only
$75. To register, call Larry Slade at Lisle at
800-733-9811.

Membership
GO added our 47th paid member today, with another 40
applicants waiting approval. We’re excited about the
growth in just a short couple of months and are on target
to hit our “reach” goal of 250 for this year. If you have
any colleagues that you think would benefit from
membership, please tell them to check us out at
www.goexperience.com. If they register to join and name
you as having referred them, you’ll receive $25 in GO
Bucks, to be used to pay for GO items, such as seminars in
print, etc. Or send me an email at
johnk@premiertourismmarketing.com and I’ll get in touch
with them.
